Ronald G. Fortune was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in the Desire Housing Project and is the 10th child of twelve brothers and sisters. He is a 15 year veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for 7 years. Following his tour overseas he served an additional two years in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and came to New Orleans to finish his time of service in the Army Reserve.

At the age of 29 he was born again during a church service in New Orleans. He was instantly delivered from alcoholism and cigarettes and developed a hunger for God's word.

He is an ordained Minister and has been a member of Covenant Church, an Outreach of Jesse Duplantis Ministries, for twelve years.

Ronald has been in leadership positions in various ministries at JDM, such as Youth Pastor, Guest Speaker at the annual marriage retreats, as well as ministering during the midweek and Sunday morning services. He has also ministered in various churches in the New Orleans area, and conducts his own meetings called "New Beginnings for a Successful Life".

Mark 16:15 says: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

The Lord has given Ronald a mandate to do just that. His greatest desire is to see people saved, healed and delivered, and to see the church of today on fire for God and walking in the power He has given to them, nationally as well as internationally.

Ronald is married to Pia Fortune, which he met in Germany. They have one son by the name of Ronald Jr., a daughter-in-law, Amanda and two beautiful granddaughters by the names of Aralyn and Rayne.
